In this hands-on workshop, you will design the stunning centerpiece shown above using realistic artificial greenery, pinecones, and faux berries, artfully arranged in a handcrafted wooden trug vessel. The trug offers a sculptural base of warmth, texture and sophistication. The botanical arrangement adds organic life and personality. The votives create a dance of light in the darkness. The combination delivers delight both day and night.
Part 1: Design Workshop
Step-by-step, you’ll build your design in dry foam and learn the fundamentals of a balanced, natural-looking arrangement. You’ll elevate the look with a bed of mini-pinecones and two LED votives, for a warm, evening glow.
The finished centerpiece is intentionally versatile—perfect for a dining table, entryway, island, or coffee table—and can be easily refreshed and adapted for different seasons and occasions throughout the year.
Part 2: Wooden Trug Showcase
After creating your design, sit back for a demonstration showcasing multiple ways to repurpose and style the wooden trug beyond the centerpiece, making it a functional and decorative piece for the home. In addition, Grow Studio will be offering seasonal designs to use in your trug, created by Master Floral Designer, Pam Borgardt.
